Looks like I was right! It was Peter Riedel!

He constructed 2 great sculptures.

The first seems to be a (fort-like) wall that could be used as protection in case of a war lol.

Confirmed it is called Humber River Window!

The second sculpture is a wonderfully balanced rock piece! Amazing how well balanced it is!

Press F :D!

lucite block

i have a small number of lucite paperweights, pared down from a larger collection in the last couple of years. the ones i no longer wanted were largely church, wedding, personal achievement or corporate in nature. surprisingly, they sold decently on the internet. i had no expectation that they would after having almost no luck selling items i actually valued, but off they went. i could have sold dozens more if i had them, but i'll keep the few that remain (notably chicken embryos and mouse embryos).

junk deletion continues this weekend in the cabbagetown festival/giant neighbourhood yard sale. i'm going to (along with a couple of friends) dispose of a few hundred cds and some other nonsense this coming saturday. the goal is to not bring anything back in the house, but any leftovers are being donated to a couple of charities: PWA, ACT and Sunnybrook Hospital.

Just wondering if the characters behind the elephant actually are words or just stylized tagging. Any thoughts folks?
