The setting sun provides some nice light on City Hall in Toronto and marks the end to another day. This iconic city shot looks north across Nathan Phillips Square.

Toronto's new city hall (built to replace the old one which was no longer large enough) is a unique design. The City Hall is nicknamed "The Eye of the Government" because it resembles a large eye from above. The center white dome covers the council chambers. The ramp leads to a green garden.

Waiting for the ice to be flooded -- and it's almost done.
I was wondering why they don't flood the City Hall rink before nearly 10 in the morning, but maybe they're cleaning up after people getting in a skate before work.
