We had some massive snow here with cold temperatures, but in anyway it cannot be compared with our first snow we had in the end of December - it was so exciting and not very cold :-) Lots of kids and adults were having so much sledding fun as you can see here, better in Lightbox.:-)

My globular miniature magic plus origami fun yet again!
This is the proper snowy December entry for my series of seasonal globular digi-magic upon our Toronto as seen from the Riverdale Park toward Broadview Avenue, filled with the cute buildings of lovely Greektown, the Byzantine-like church including.
It was so much fun when we finally had our first snow on a day after Christmas here. Although I already prepared the mid December globular scene of this park (in the previous post)... I just had to capture the proper snowy view of this Byzantine planet, I know snow may not last long here, and luckily the park was filled with children at play sledding! Kids were excited and I thought why not to have a New Year's Origami Balloon Ride on the little planet too :-) It was a total fun!
So with this image of the snowy Byzantine planet I rounded the whole year up in this fun spot of Riverdale Park East. You may see the images of all 12 months in this set or as a slide show.
A note for origami enthusiasts: We folded these balloons of ours, each with 1-piece envelope, some from semi-transparent sukashi paper and others from foil paper with holographic covering to reinforce the holiday mood :-) The diagrams of these origami hot air balloons are published in our new eBook ORILAND BALLOON RIDE www.oriland.com/store/ebooks/oriland_balloon_ride/main.asp

Allan Gardens. November Under Branchy Elm

November impression from promenades in Allan Gardens here in Toronto...
This corner of the garden with the wonderful branchy elm is always charming... And when the sunny spells play with its golden lacy autumnal dress, this place is even more enchanting with a lovely play of light and shadows...
So as for this charming corner of the gardens I have completed the whole year with this scene under the branchy elm... and you can see impressions of all 12 months below in the comments.
But, I'm still going to have my promenades in this park and discover new and old mystery corners : )
