Street Car Standstill

Thursday evening May 16, on the way to class. I've never seen so many street cars all lined up on the road going nowhere. College and Bathurst were completely closed both ways because of a near-fatal accident right at the College and Bathurst intersection. We walked to College from Queen. The roads were closed for several hours that evening. I had my L810 in my bag, however my Samsung Galaxy S3 was in my hand so it did me the honours.
PCC streetcar at Queen West and Bathurst (4)

Sunday afternoon, I was standing on the streetcar traffic island at Queen Street West and Bathurst waiting for the northbound streetcar when I saw, coming south down Bathurst and preparing to turn east on Queen, one of the TTC's two remaining vintage PCC cars. Transit Toronto and Wikipedia both go on at length about this mode of streetcar, which in this case was preparing to continue south towards the 509 Harbourfront route that the PCC cars are used for.
This photo is one of four in a series, viewable at my Flickr page and at my blog.
