Astro Projection. Earth Chronicles of Solar Winds. Part 11
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Continuing my Astro Projection mission and the chronicles of solar winds recorded on dreamy Toronto cityscapes....
I had a fantastic out-of-body-and-lens experience.on one passionate sunset... The glowing sun particles were blowing through Toronto cityscapes in the solar rhythm and looked like the city was mystically dancing with them too :-)
...all brought to you by my manual zoom / floating / moving / long exposure magic :-)
* I have added a thin layer of textures to reinforce the mystic feel, but other than that it's a SOOC image, manual zooming & ICM (intentional camera movement) during long exposure - no other processing involved!
Wellesley Park. In a Quiet Place. May
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Continuing my new seasonal series - Visiting Wellesley Park... depicting a small but charming park located in Cabbagetown area here in Toronto.
So here is May update on this charming scene with tranquil trees that is situated just right to the perfect maple tree from this series. New green, taking over the park, is a delight :-)
June impressions from Wellesley Park are coming soon - stay tuned / bientot a l'ecran :-)
Toronto Vintage Portrait in Green May
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Another image from a rooftop photo-session on a fine day in mid May...
I really like this view of Toronto that shown all levels of buildings and the distinctive architectural mix... from the old ballet school of Classical Revival style at the bottom to the super tall CN Tower with a range of styles in between.
Astro Projection. Blue Hour Mystic City Dance
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Continuing my Astro Projection theme... During one velvet blue hour after a passionate sunset, had my out-of-body-and-lens experience on dreamy Toronto cityscape dimensions.... And in a tiny fraction of time my camera recorded this mystic dance of the city on the blue stage with lights floating in slow motion ...all brought to you by my manual zoom / floating / long (actually short long) exposure magic :-)
*I felt like adding a thin layer of textures to emphasize to the mystic feel, but other than that it's a SOOC image, manual zooming & intentional camera movement - no other processing involved!
Wellesley Park. The Perfect Maple in Green May
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Continuing my new seasonal series Visiting Wellesley Park... depicting a small but charming park located in Cabbagetown area here in Toronto.
And here is the update for the month of May. In a short time this perfect maple tree has grown a new green hairdo for the summer season! It is so perfect so it didn't feel like adding any paint of my magic brush to it, but still the texture magic is a certain must treatment to this scene with the majestic maple! :-)
More spring impressions from Wellesley Park are coming soon - stay tuned / bientot a l'ecran!
Toy-ronto Summerlicious Balloon Ride
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Continuing my Little Planets theme in frames of Toy-ronto Life series...
Happy Miniature Sunday, Origami Balloons edition! :-)
It's time for my globular magic yet again! This is the half of Toy-ronto Planet I see from our rooftop looking south. You might see the bit of Lake Ontario with Toronto Island too on the horizon.
We are quite happy to finally move into summer and it's a perfect time for our origami hot air balloon ride above Toy-ronto planet. You know our origami balloons are flying not only above Origami Toy-ronto as it was shown in City Hall on Doors Open Toronto event, but above the 'real' Toy-ronto too. :-)
More of toy-some Toy-ronto fun is coming next Miniature Sunday- stay tuned! / Bientot a l'ecran!
A note for origami enthusiasts: The diagrams of all these origami hot air balloons are published in our new eBook ORILAND BALLOON RIDE www.oriland.com/store/ebooks/oriland_balloon_ride/main.php
Happy folding!
Wellesley Park. Forest Glade. Green May
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Continuing my new seasonal series - Visiting Wellesley Park... depicting a small but charming park located in Cabbagetown area here in Toronto.
So here is a lush green May update on this spot from the park. which feels like a forest glade.
I'm glad I expanded the scene to include the trees on sides that work almost like curtains.
More impressions from Wellesley Park are coming - stay tuned / bientot a l'ecran :-)
Wellesley Park. Cheerful Forest Glade. Late April
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
Continuing my new seasonal series - Visiting Wellesley Park... depicting a small but charming park located in Cabbagetown area here in Toronto.
Before I post May updates, I wanted to share the late April update on the interesting spot from this park. which feels like a forest glade. The whole series was taken last year and the end of April was a reall green boom then. As more green appeared on this glade, I zoomed back to include more of this into the image. Especially liked these curtains at sides formed by the trees :-)
More impressions from Wellesley Park are coming - stay tuned / bientot a l'ecran :-)
Toronto’s Mixed Forest. Sunset Jazzy Blues
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
...back to my fave spot of Toronto's Mixed Forest...
It was the prettiest blue hour with glowing sunset colours playing on the horizon. I liked the great palette of jazzy colours in this mixed forest scene and just couldn't resist to capture this for the series :-)

Toronto’s Mixed Forest. Green May
Katrin Ray has added a photo to the pool:
...continuing to show my fave spot of Toronto's Mixed Forest.... while it is still visible from my place. You see they build another tower that will unfortunately hide this beautiful church in this scene... Oh well...
This time I took a bit different angle of this scene from the rooftop - the crane from the construction site looked like a borg appendix to the building :-)
