Another image from a rooftop photo-session on a fine day in mid May...
I really like this view of Toronto that shown all levels of buildings and the distinctive architectural mix... from the old ballet school of Classical Revival style at the bottom to the super tall CN Tower with a range of styles in between.

Happy Miniature Sunday, Origami Balloons edition! :-)
It's time for my globular magic yet again! This is the half of Toy-ronto Planet I see from our rooftop looking south. You might see the bit of Lake Ontario with Toronto Island too on the horizon.
We are quite happy to finally move into summer and it's a perfect time for our origami hot air balloon ride above Toy-ronto planet. You know our origami balloons are flying not only above Origami Toy-ronto as it was shown in City Hall on Doors Open Toronto event, but above the 'real' Toy-ronto too. :-)
More of toy-some Toy-ronto fun is coming next Miniature Sunday- stay tuned! / Bientot a l'ecran!
A note for origami enthusiasts: The diagrams of all these origami hot air balloons are published in our new eBook ORILAND BALLOON RIDE www.oriland.com/store/ebooks/oriland_balloon_ride/main.php
Happy folding!

It's time for my globular magic yet again, Origami Balloons edition!
While having a rooftop photo-session on Spring Equinox I thought that it's time of year when we have to have ori-ballooning fun started again :-) Toronto Downtown looked great in evening light and just perfect for casting some globular & texture magic upon the little Toy-ronto planet :-)
So let's celebrate spring with the colourful Origami Balloon Ride in my Toy-ronto :-)

Vintage Portrait of Toronto on Spring Equinox

Took it during a rooftop photo-session session on Spring Equinox day...
I meant to post it earlier but it's such a busy time of year for me.
Toronto Planet in Snowy Mist with a Little Bit of Magic :-)

While it's practically no snow yet in Toronto to mark this winter season, I looked at my archives and found the image of one misty snowy day from one past winter... can't help but to cast some globular & texture magic, plus add a bit of snow powder upon the little Toronto planet :-)
Dramatic Skies Above Toronto Planet

Sometimes it all becomes so dramatic in the skies... and any light that comes from above is like a ray of hope. Liked this moody scene with Toronto skyline and I just had to cast some globular & texture digi-magic upon it.
My Toy-Balloon Ride on Vistek Flyer!

Hi Flickr friends, wanted to share some news on yet another publication I had recently...
My image "Toy-Balloon Ride Over Toy-ronto Planet" made its appearance on the Vistek flyer for the Toolbox tradeshow of OCAD University (Ontario College of Art and Design) on November 8th. Sweet! : )

Happy Miniature Sunday, globular magic edition! :-)
I had cast some globular & texture digi-magic upon our Toronto Downtown and thought it's summer time so we have to have festivities full spread, so what about an origami balloon ride over our Toy-ronto planet :-)
I mentioned before, Yuri (aka Julian) and I are working on a new origami book with our designs of hot air balloons... which involves lots of diagramming, designing and folding! :-) You wouldn't believe how many origami hot air balloons are hanging from the ceiling in our studio... 30+! ...from 4.5 inches (12 cm) high, as pictured above to the giant ones 24 inches (60 cm) high! So it lots of work and fun too... and I thought I have to bring a bit of this origami magic to Toy-ronto again. Cheers :-)

Canada Life... worth every minute! :-) This is a special time for our family now, as we are celebrating a certain anniversary of our arrival to Canada today :-)
So I thought it will be great to do some appropriate artwork for my series "Thirty-Six Views of CN Tower"... Spotted this view of our CN Tower from University Ave and liked the appropriate title on a Beaux-Arts style historic Canada Life Building with a prominent weather beacon at its pinnacle :-)
