La poésie de neige

To my Riverdale Walks series again...

I just can not let go this snowy scene from the park :-) it was in the end of December and I had two other takes on this scene posted before... Still like this in the square format too. Did a vertorama out of two images to add more sky!

So this is a wider square view of the charming bench scene I used in my seasonal mini-series Riverdale Walks: Une poésie des saisons.

A snowy scene from the park in the end of December. It's a wider view of this charming bench scene I used in my seasonal mini-series Riverdale Walks: Une poésie des saisons.
With all the snow on branches and benches it looked so winter fairytale-like... which now is only a memory.

A Scenic Corner of Riverdale Farm. Snowy December

Another snowy winter update on this classic scene of Riverdale Farm, which is located practically in Downtown of Toronto and is a unique site of the preserved history, a living representation of a rural farm in Ontario. It is really quite funny and cool to have this late-19th-century-style farm right in the urban downtown :-)

We have no snow on the moment, but in the end of December we really had a blast with snowy magic and the farm looked just lovely with all the snow around!

And this time properly finishing the mini-series Riverdale Walks: Une poésie des saisons of the seasonal impressions of this charming bench scene in Riverdale Park West, Toronto.

About a week ago, there was no snow and all looked quite a spring-like here, but all this changed over night - Madam Snow Queen visited Toronto and I though I have to add the snowy view of December to the series.

So with this image I really rounded the whole year up in this particular corner of Riverdale Park. You may see the images of all 12 months in this set or as a slide show.

It has been quite a warm December here and this farm looked very spring-like on one of my walks in the mid December...

Toronto Planet in Snowy Mist with a Little Bit of Magic :-)

Toronto Planet in Snowy Mist with a Little Bit of Magic :-)

Continuing my Little Planets theme with Thirty-Six Views of CN Tower series...

While it's practically no snow yet in Toronto to mark this winter season, I looked at my archives and found the image of one misty snowy day from one past winter... can't help but to cast some globular & texture magic, plus add a bit of snow powder upon the little Toronto planet :-)

Riverdale Park West, Toronto, December...

Looks like Madam Snow Queen is not going to visit us here in Toronto any time soon... so we are still having this late autumn kind of weather plus extra short days... so every sunny moment counts.
Visited the park on one sunny day and found this tranquil scene that prompted me to think of spring and just skip winter :-)

With this image I rounded the whole year up in this particular corner of Riverdale Park - it's been a pleasant spot to watch the seasonal transformation. You may see the images of all 12 months below in the comments.

Here is the official November update on this charming corner of Riverdale Farm, which is located practically in Downtown of Toronto and is a unique site of the preserved history, a living representation of a rural farm in Ontario. It is really quite funny and cool to have this late-19th-century-style farm right in the urban downtown : )

By a total chance, in early October, I discovered this new composition for this place and liked it so much, so I decided to take extra images... So you may see the pace of autumn in this scene through images below in the comments.
It's always the same with the seasons - they fly too fast. The good thing is that we can capture it with our cameras and extend the seasons for a little bit longer :-)

Riverdale Park West, Toronto, mid November...

The trees are almost naked now in this park, but you still can see a bit of golden foliage on some of them and on the ground.
As I set on this composition, suddenly a flock of starlings entered the frame - what can be better for an autumn scene?! Liked it : )

The change of colours happened too fast this year, but I'm glad I managed to capture some autumn display on the farm...
