Barrier

Barrier

These fences were all over the beach when I went. They were used to keep dogs away from the shoreline I guess and they didn't have that many gaps in between so you can go walk to shore.

I stayed till about 6pm and had a hard time getting out of the beach because of these fences. It was very dark when I decided to leave the beach and coupled with my failing eyesight, there were numerous umm... collisions..... After a good 20 minutes I finally found a gap in the fence and was finally out of the beach.

A piece of wood at the shores of Woodbine Beach.

On that day I also saw a Christmas tree that someone threw out on the beach.... I somehow forgot to take a picture of that....

Smooth and Silky

Smooth and Silky

I've always wanted to try one of these long exposure shots that would produce smooth silky water, so I tried it out when I went to Woodbine Beach and set out to find some boulders to do the shot on. It's not perfect but its a start! I would've preferred the water to have been smoother but the water was too wavy to get a perfectly smooth surface (could have also probably set to a longer shutter but I was running out of light and didn't get a chance to try it out).

Lifeguard station at Woodbine Beach

It looked pretty dilapidated and rickety... I wonder if the lifeguards still actually climb on top of it....
